The weather was beautiful for people but not so good for snow at the annual Smith Park Winter Gala. Hundreds came for a few rounds of winter golf, to paint a spot on the
YMCA mural or try their hand at carving a giant block of snow. By the end of the day some of the sculptures were melting but the enthusiam wasn't as the winners of the coveted awards waited to see who would win. Thanks to
Mihms for gallons of wounderful chili,
Manderfields for cookies,
Got Java for coffee. Thanks to
Doty Island Development Council for their coordination of the event.
