The nonprofits that will be on the voting ballot are active organizations as described and recognized under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Service Code, provide programs that benefit residents in our service region, file an IRS Form 990, and have received at least one grant from our unrestricted grant programs (e.g., Capacity Building, Project, Opportunity, Sponsorship Grants, etc.) from 1986 through June 30, 2011. Churches, schools and government-related entities are excluded. Foundations administered within the Community Foundation for the Fox Valley Region are not eligible. How It Works
